On a morning saunter

Is when I saw you

Pleasing yourself

Close to the rusty bench

Light bouncing off from

The eyes of the strangers

Surrounding us

Yet all visionless

When you see me

I can feel your naked eyes on my skin

Giving me sleepless nights

And mortifying me

I have to carry this with me

Wherever I go

This baggage only gets heavier with time

Leaving me paralyzed

More than yesterday

And the day before

And the day before that

They said that

We are related by blood

So I thought I would let my guard down

Because you love me

And why would you deface

Your loved ones

Naïve of the fact that

You would put yourself inside me

In the name of love

Scarring my body forever

Leaving me paralyzed

More than yesterday

And the day before

And the day before that

Wanting to enjoy

I went out with my friends

(Which of course included you)

You were sweet and tender

Did not know it would only last for a moment

Oblivious that a non-sober version of me

Is a symbol of undressing myself

Don’t know what came over you

You caressed my thigh

And your hands moved north

Leaving me paralyzed

More than yesterday

And the day before

And the day before that

You had me at “hello”

You made me feel things I never did

And I was safe

Guess I was in love

Then you came home

Tired and wasted

I was not ready

Forcing yourself on me

Thought this is one of the

Innumerable ways of expressing love

Now I am in a new hell every time

You touch me

Leaving me paralyzed

More than yesterday

And the day before

And the day before that
