Just another stray

The most beautiful and innocent pair of eyes

A fur with black and brown spots

Wagging her tail at every little thing

She made me feel like home

A soul I rushed to

When I was at my weakest

No matter how many times

I ignored her as I was afraid

My mom would shoo her away

She understood the meaning

Of emotions more than

I ever did or ever will

Making me feel wanted and loved

Even when I could not do it myself

Wish I would have loved her the way she deserved

Should have asked where they were taking her,

If only I knew

Pneumonia would take her away from me

The loss makes you feel void but more than that

It is the longing to say the goodbye you never got

Now she is there

Lying under the layers of soil

With a lily resting

Where her face is

As lifeless as she is
