Promise of being alone than being with the wrong one

Next day comes as a reminder of your vulnerability

Your body with me and soul with her

You forge everything

Borrowed smile on your face

Pretentious behavior hoping you will eventually succumb to reality

My fingers touch your naked skin

It brings up all the misery she could take away from hers

She got your fights

She got your laughs

She got your tears

She got your heart

I got the smithereens

I got the water left from the rain

I want to let you go but I'm scared of where you would go

There's nothing left with her
